A. Listening comprehension – Reorder the sentences

Read the conversation between Jamie and Nora page 22 of English Now No 123. Then, listen to the following dialogue and reorder the sentences.

Conversation 1: Jamie and Nora are British. Nora has been accepted by CalTech, a university in Pasadena, California.

JAMIE: American universities are so different from ours.
NORA: No, CalTech forbids that. There’s a two-week rotation for all freshmen instead.
JAMIE: Must you do initiation activities to get into a sorority? They’re dangerous!
NORA: Thank you! It wasn’t easy.
JAMIE: When do you start?
NORA: It’s two things – first, it’s the actual house that members of a sorority live in, and it’s also the centre of all social activity for that sorority.
JAMIE: What’s that?
NORA: CalTech’s house system is actually modelled on Oxford and Cambridge.
JAMIE: What’s a house system?
NORA: We eat dinner in a different house each evening. Then we decide which sorority we want to join. I can’t wait!
JAMIE: Congratulations!
NORA: At the end of September. I’m excited! And I want to join a sorority.
